Automation Hygienic Touch Panel in stainless steel for food and pharmaceutical production

The Automation Hygienic housing variant is a visually attractive stainless steel panel with integrated buttons, for use in hygienically demanding areas such as the food industry and pharmaceutical production. The completely closed panel can be mounted either by means of a VESA mount or on customer-specific support arm systems.

The touch panel is completely IP69 protected and complies with all EHEDG and FDA regulations. The well thought-out design without joints and edges and the use of hygienic screws facilitate cleaning. The bevelled, smooth surfaces and rounded edges of the Automation Hygienic Panel allow liquids to flow off unhindered and prevent dirt and bacteria from settling.

In addition, food-safe seals are used as standard, which are particularly durable and can withstand the high loads in the pharmaceutical and food industries. To meet the high safety requirements of food production, a protective film has been integrated into the display to prevent possible splinters from entering the food or medical products in the event of glass breakage.

Depending on the display size, between 6 and 8 pushbuttons can be integrated as indicator lights or operating buttons. The emergency stop in the area of the push-button strip is provided as standard. If required, an RFID reader, a key switch or an IP65 protected USB interface with protective cap on the front can also be used. All pushbuttons can be freely assigned and are either directly wired or connected to the central control system via EtherCAT.

Due to the modular HMI system, the touch panels can be adapted to their exact performance requirements without changing the housing. For even greater individuality, you can choose from a large number of add-ons and upgrades.

Industrial Touch Panel in numerous display sizes

Our touch panels are available in numerous different display sizes from 15.6-23.8 inches and different resolutions up to Full HD. The compact design with the protective stainless steel frame together with the scratch-resistant front glass ensures maximum robustness even when using harsh cleaning agents.

We use multi-touch technology for our touch panels. For particularly convenient machine control, we enable operation with up to 10 fingers. In hygienically demanding environments, gloves are often used. For a smooth functionality we adjust the touch accordingly. Intuitive operating functionalities known from smart phones and tablets are therefore no problem and ensure an optimal user experience. Use gesture control such as pulling, wiping, rotating or zooming.


Safe protection through Hygienic Design

As standard, our Automation Hygienic Panels are equipped with IP69 protection on the front and rear and are therefore completely protected against the ingress of dust and moisture. The sophisticated hygienic design of the touch panel makes it particularly easy to clean. The slanted surfaces and rounded edges ensure that liquids run off optimally. The use of stainless steel and special seals also allows the use of harsh cleaning agents and disinfectants.


Splinter protection film for safe production

With the splinter protection film that is glued on as standard, we ensure that the products are manufactured safely and cannot be contaminated. The use of the blue seals also fulfils a safety aspect. Should any parts of the seal become loose, they are clearly visible and allow quick intervention.

Protected connections for maximum safety

With the panel the connections are completely protected. The cables are routed through the support arm and connected directly to the touch panel. Depending on the expansion stage and performance class of your Touch Panel, the interface picture also changes. When used as a Panel PC, the interfaces can be adapted to your requirements by means of various add-ons.

Configuration of the button assignment

The use of a push-button strip increases the possibilities for machine operation functionality even further. With the exception of the emergency stop, the buttons can be individually assigned according to your requirements and meet all hygienic requirements. You can decide for yourself what colour you want the pushbuttons to have, which can be illuminated if required. An RFID reader and a protected USB socket are available on the left side. On request, we can integrate your company logo into the push-button strip.
