Christ IIoT solutions

With our IIoT solutions we network your smart machines and plants with each other and enable communication between them. This provides relevant data and solves problems autonomously.

The industrial Internet of Things is a building block for the digitalisation of production and the path to Industry 4.0. If the collected process data is correctly evaluated, numerous optimisation possibilities open up for your machines and plants. In the long term you can save resources and increase the efficiency of your customers' production, e.g. through predictive maintenance. You can also optimise your services for your customers or develop new offers for remote maintenance via secure SSH or VNC communication. With the information from the data, you can adapt your machines even better to customer requirements and generate competitive advantages.

Complete solution: IIoT Gateway Blue Box and connection between machine and Christ Cloud

The connecting element between the smart machine and data evaluation is the IIoT Gateway, which enables edge computing. Here your process data is collected, processed and sent to the cloud. Data aggregation in the gateway is particularly important to ensure a fast database even with large amounts of data. If a connection is lost, the data is stored in our gateway until it can be sent again. In this way we ensure that no data is lost.

In the Christ Cloud your data is processed and visualised with container applications in Kubernetes. With the help of dashboards, which we adapt to your requirements, the processed data is displayed in a graphically clear way. For particularly high flexibility, the output device can be chosen at will, whether PC, Smart Phone or Tablet.re services for your added value

IoT is mainly about interaction between people and machines in everyday environments. A good example here is smart home. By connecting thermostats or lighting to a cloud, they can be conveniently controlled from anywhere.

In contrast, IIoT is about communication and networking between different machines and systems in industrial context. With the help of sensors and actuators, different data and information can be collected. This is how manufacturing processes can be optimized.

IoT stands for "Internet of Things." IIoT stands for "industrial Internet of Things" and refers to the use of IoT solutions in industrial environments. It is designed to connect the Information Technology (IT) domain with Operational Technology (OT) to drive digitalization. .

The goal is to control, monitor and optimize production processes. Numerous data are collected through the networking of machines and systems. When this data is evaluated and analyzed, important insights can be gained that can increase productivity, reduce downtime and thus save costs.

Through the use of sensors and embedded systems, information on the status of machines and plants is collected via industrial communication channels (fieldbuses), such as OPC UA. These large volumes of data are challenging to process so that even real-time relevant processes can run without errors.

In a cloud, this data is then collected, evaluated and displayed in clear dashboards. It is important to ensure that this data is protected from access by unauthorized persons. That is why different security elements are used.

It also increases automation and optimizes the value chain. The collected data can be used, for example, to optimally determine maintenance intervals (predictive maintenance), which leads to less downtime. This simultaneously leads to higher customer satisfaction. Changes in production processes can be intervened in virtually real time.

The use of IIoT also makes sense in terms of sustainability. With the help of optimized production processes, energy and other resources can be saved significantly.
